  On Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 3:05pm I went to the front desk to check-in for my son’s appointment and was informed me I was late and the physician will be unable to see us. Kristen, specifically said “you’re 35 minutes late and you missed your last appointment. You need to reschedule he [Dr. John Anderson, Pediatrician] is not going to see you”. 1. I originally scheduled the appointment and never received a phone call reminder of my upcoming appointment 2. When I scheduled the appointment with Kristen, she never confirmed my phone number 3. Instead of kindly asking me to reschedule my appointment, she was condescending and blamed me I told her I’ll go ahead and reschedule the appointment. I was recommended another date, RUDELY. I told her that wasn’t going to work, she scoffed and gave me another option. Again, still rude. Appointment confirmed, she hands the appointment card with a sneer. I asked her to look into sending the referral for my son, to receive speech therapy services at Sonora Regional Physical Therapy in Angels Camp, CA. I informed her I was actively working with the nurse [Allison] and the referral was contingent upon my son taking his hearing test at Greenely Oaks ENT. Hearing exam completed and the information was already faxed over to Arnold Medical Center. Kristen tells me “you need to see Dr. Anderson, he’s not going to refer anything”. Her attitude was rude, disrespectful and contemptuous. I reassured her I was working with Allison, she replied scornfully that she will leave a note for Dr. Anderson and he will get back to me. Kristen then asks for my name, my relationship to my son and a phone number. After providing her with my phone number she replies haughtily “we don’t have that number on file”. Ok fine, update my number. This should've been taken care of and I told her Allison should have that number in my records. Kristen replies arrogantly “there’s no way she can update your number, she’s a nurse and she doesn’t have access to the same system.” At this time I was too frustrated to talk to her anymore, I took my appointment reminder card and left. Kristen has no “Human kindness” which is what Dignity Health promotes and proud of. I am offended, infuriated, and disrespected beyond doubt. This matter needs to be taken care of and dealt promptly to avoid other patients, and families, from going through this same experience. I do not wish to speak or work with her again and hope to regain my trust with Dignity Health’s Mark Twain Medical center.
